China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) released a list accrediting national bases for science education (2021-2025). The Eye Museum of WMU is listed for its achievements in eye health science education.

The Eye Museum was opened in October 2018. It offers exhibition on vision science and eye healthcare. Taking advantages of the well-rounded academic system and professional support of the Eye Hospital, WMU, the Eye Museum aims high in providing science education that is professional and enjoyable. Currently, the Eye Museum of WMU has assisted in constructing over 30 branch museums across the country.
