Dr. Dongsheng Yan is the Principal Investigator of the laboratory of ocular epigenetics, Eye Hospital, Wenzhou Medical University. He received his medical degree from Jilin University in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in genetics from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology (IGDB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2006. He joined the Wenzhou Medical university in 2006 to establish the lab of ocular epigenetics. His main research interests are epigenetic regulations in eye development and disease. Dr. Yan is a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in leading ophthalmology journals and presented his work at ARVO annual meeting. His research presentation on the role of RNA methylation in uveal melanoma was featured in “Hot Topics” at ARVO annual meeting 2018.
