Talent Recruitment

Research Interests

Since its establishment in 2013, the research group has focused on advanced bionic functional interface and nano-drug delivery carrier for ophthalmology from the perspective of material science based on the major needs of ophthalmic disease treatment, to provide a new strategy for the treatment of clinical diseases. Multi-functional biomedical materials were prepared utilizing chemical synthesis and biomimetic, focusing on the interdisciplinary fields such as surface modification of ophthalmic biomaterials, stimulus-responsive ophthalmic drug delivery system, and functionalization of nanomaterials. The team has gradually built a complete platform for chemical synthesis and material preparation, a platform for material science and biological function evaluation, a model base and research platform for animal experiments, and a research platform for biocompatibility and molecular biology mechanism, which constitutes an omni bearing research platform for ophthalmic biomaterials and nanomedicine. At present, the research group has 7 members of staff and more than 30 graduate students. The team has cultivated 6 graduate students, 4 of which have won the "national motivational scholarship" and 1 has won the "scholarship of excellence".

Research field

1.Study and clinical transformation of nano-drug carriers penetrating ophthalmic physiological barrier and new drug delivery strategies; (macular edema, neovascularization, optic nerve injury and visual pathway repair in the posterior segment of the retina, infection and tissue repair of the anterior segment of the cornea)

2.Biomimetic modification and functionalization of ophthalmic biomaterials and their clinical application. (corneal contact lens, intraocular lens, posterior scleral reinforcement material, glaucoma drainage tube, etc.)

3.A new nanomaterial system for clearance of intraocular infection, inflammation, and oxidative stress and its clinical application

Representative achievements

New drug release materials for endophthalmitis (Small,2019)

Biomimetic mineralized film of pearl layer based on super-spreading technique and biomineralization method(AM,2020)
