PI of the lab of Visual Deficits and Visual Rehabilitation, is now working in the Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University as a full professor. He was educated in University of Science and Technology of China and obtained a Bachelor degree in Biology Science in July-2006 and a Doctor degree in Biophysics in July-2011. In Sep-2011, he joined Dr. Robert F. Hess’ lab in McGill Vision Research as a Postdoctoral fellow. In 2016, he joined Wenzhou Medical University and set up the lab of Visual Deficits and Visual Rehabilitation. He is also the vice director of the optometry center in the eye hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. He is now funded by 6 National and Provincial research grants and 2 grants from companies. His main areas of research are the visual deficits of functional eye diseases, including amblyopia, strabismus and myopia, binocular vision and visual plasticity. He has published 56 papers in peer-reviewed journals including Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, NeuroImage and Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science. He has also served as a scientific reviewer or a Lead Guest Editor for several journals, including Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science, Frontiers in Neuroscience, Neural Plasticity et al. According to the Web of Science Core Collection, he ranged TOP 5 in terms of the number of articles that published in the past five years in the field of Amblyopia. His research results on the sensory eye dominance were selected into the top ten research highlights of the Optometry Group (2017).
