Full professor in Wenzhou Medical University and he is currently the principal investigator of Laboratory of Neurovascular Biology at School of Ophthalmology and Optometry, Eye Hospital of WMU. He received his PhD degree in the department of ophthalmology at University of Toyama, Japan and immediately joined Tokyo Medical Center as postdoctoral fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS Fellow) as well as investigator. In 2011, moved to United States and joined in the Vascular Biology Program at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He returned to China in 2014 and established his own lab at Eye Hospital of WMU. His research is focused on the major blindness eye diseases, such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and hereditary eye diseases to understand the mechanism of the disease onset. He is winner of “Qianjiang scholar” professorship and the first level of “151 talents project”, the first level of “551 talents project”.
